Messages

Every booking and towing request has its own chat thread with the customer, so your team can answer questions about a specific job. On top of those, you also receive questions from customers who have not booked yet.

Questions without a booking

Any customer can message your location from its public page without booking anything. These land in the same inbox, labelled Question instead of naming a car when the customer didn't pick one, and with no status, because there is no job behind them to open or close.

A customer has one conversation per location, so their later questions continue in the same thread. Like any conversation, anyone on your team with access to that location can open and answer it, and the notification reaches all of them.

This is the simplest way a new customer finds you, so answering quickly matters: at the top of the thread the customer has a button that takes them straight to booking.

A thread nobody has written in for 90 days drops out of the list so they don't pile up. If that customer writes again it comes straight back, unread and at the top. Nothing is deleted.

Your inbox

Open Messages from the menu. The inbox lists all conversations - bookings and tows - with the customer, a preview of the last message, and an unread badge. Threads are sorted by most recent activity, and the menu shows a combined unread count.

A conversation

Tap a conversation to open the thread:

  • Messages run newest at the bottom; scroll up to load older ones.
  • Send text or attach a photo. Only the send button sends; Enter starts a new line.
  • Each message shows its state: Sending..., ✓ delivered, ✓✓ seen. Tap a failed message to retry.
  • New messages and read receipts appear live.

Opening chat from a job

You can also start from the job itself - every booking and towing request has an Open chat button, and booking lists carry a quick chat button with an unread badge. They all open the same thread.

TIP

A chat notification takes you straight to the right conversation.
