Request a tow
If your vehicle is stranded, you can request a tow and watch the truck come to you in real time.
Prerequisites
You need a vehicle on file, and towing works best with location (GPS) permission so the app can pin where you are. You can still place the pickup point by hand if GPS isn't available.
Sending a request
- Open a towing location (see Find a location) and tap Request a tow. Only towing locations that currently have an available driver are listed. If a company publishes a towing rate, it appears on the location card and at the top of the request form as a per-km price; the final price is settled with the towing company - the app does not compute a total.
- Which vehicle? - pick the car to be towed.
- Pickup point - the map drops a pin at your current location. Drag or tap to adjust it. If GPS isn't available, you'll see a warning and can tap the map to place the pin yourself. You can add an optional address.
- Destination - choose where the car should go:
- A service location - pick one from the list, or
- A place on the map - switch modes and tap the map to drop a destination pin (with an optional address).
- Notes (optional) - anything the towing company should know.
- Tap Send request.
What happens next: the request is created as Awaiting acceptance and the towing company's drivers are notified. Track it under Towing.
Following the job
Open Towing from the menu to see your requests (filter by Active or All). Tap one to open its details, which show the status and, once a driver accepts, their name.
Towing goes through these stages: Awaiting acceptance -> Accepted -> Tow truck on the way -> Tow truck arrived -> Vehicle being towed -> Delivered. You'll get a notification at each change.
Live truck tracking
Once a driver is on the way, the detail page shows a map with your pickup, the destination, and the truck's live position, which updates as the driver moves. You don't need to do anything - just keep the page open to watch.
Chatting with the driver
Tap Open chat on the towing request to message the company - send text or photos, with the same read receipts as any other chat. See Messages.
Cancelling
Open the request and tap Cancel, then confirm. You can cancel while it's still awaiting acceptance or in the early stages. The company is notified.
