Find a location

CarMaster lists four kinds of locations you can browse:

  • Service - workshops where you book repairs and maintenance.
  • Towing - companies that can tow your vehicle.
  • Store - parts and accessory shops.
  • Dismantling - salvage and dismantling yards.

Browsing

  1. Open Find a service (or Locations) from the menu.
  2. Use the type tabs to switch between Service, Towing, Store, and Dismantling.
  3. Scroll the list - it loads more as you go, and you can pull down to refresh.

Nearest first

If you allow location access, the list is sorted nearest first and each card shows the distance to that location.

Ratings

Locations that have been rated show their average score and rating count (e.g. "4.7 (12)") on the card and on the location page, where a Reviews section lists what other customers wrote. Ratings come only from completed visits, so they reflect real service, and each customer holds one review per location, so the average counts people rather than jobs. The date beside a review is when the customer last changed it.

TIP

No GPS fix? The list still works - it just falls back to sorting by name and won't show distances.

List and map views

Every location type has a List / Map toggle next to the search box:

  • List shows cards with the name, company, distance, and a photo.
  • Map shows a pin for every location, colour-coded by type. Your own position appears as a You marker when GPS is available. Tap any pin to open that location.

You can search by name and apply filters (for service locations, you can filter by the kind of work they offer). The map updates live as you search and filter.

Viewing a location

Tap a location to open its detail page, which shows:

  • A photo gallery and, if provided, a short video. Tap a photo for a full-screen view and swipe between images.
  • Business hours for each day (open/closed, or open 24 hours).
  • Facilities such as Wi-Fi and the number of parking spots.
  • Address and a map, with an Open in maps button that hands off to your phone's navigation app.

From here you can act, depending on the location type:

TIP

Both actions need a vehicle on file. If you don't have one yet, the app helps you add it first, then continues.
